Ra b/w Genie is a limited-edition 7″ vinyl by Denver, Colorado-based stoner metal/post-hardcore band Never Kenezzard, released on November 8, 2022, through Game Two Records. Limited to 250 copies on ‘deep purple’ colored vinyl with lyrics on the inner jacket, this single features two tracks from their 2021 album The Long and Grinding Road: an exclusive 7″ edit of “Ra” and the album version of “Genie.” “Ra” delivers a hypnotic, sea-sick rhythm, while “Genie” blends black-metal screeches with crossover thrash elements and near-chanting vocals, showcasing the band’s experimental, psychedelic metal sound. Formed in 2014, Never Kenezzard—Ryan Peru (guitar, vocals, electronics), Jason Starkey (drums, backing vocals), and Don White (bass)—recorded these tracks at The Decibel Garden Studios, engineered and mixed by Eric Ryan, and mastered by Mark Fuller.
